Who is Evolution Fly Fishing

Mike Kuhnert grew up hunting and fishing in both California and Minnesota. Then at the tender age of 19, Montana State University accepted him and he packed up all of his belongings and headed west. To make a short story even shorter he immediately fell in love with the Missouri River and never looked back. Mike Kuhnert has been guiding the Missouri River since he was 26 years old, and it has dominated his life for years. He has stood chest deep in 35 degree water chasing steelhead in the northwest, to standing ankle deep in the Bahamas and the Florida Keys casting for any thing that swims. And over the past few years he has developed an intense love of carp fishing. In fact, he even has carp on his license plate!

Whether you are an expert dry fly angler, who only wants to cast to a single 2 foot brown sitting in 6 inches of water. Or you are not even sure what end of a fly pole to hold, but, you want to learn. We would love to have you in our boat. All of the guides at Evolution Fly Fishing are very professional and forgiving. We do not yell and insult you if, god forbid, you make a mistake. But on the other hand none of us are shy about telling you what you did wrong. All great guides are great teachers. We want to give you a day of fishing that you will never forget. When we tell you what went wrong, or tell you what to do, please take heed. All of our guides want you to catch fish.
